Educational Consulting

It is not unusual across a child's K–12 school journey for parents to feel confused or frustrated by school feedback, or concerned that their child is not being fully understood or appreciated. I help parents make sense of that ambiguity.

At times there is a more general sense that something is not quite right, even if it cannot yet be clearly identified. Parents do not always know what to look for or when to get involved, and small issues that go unaddressed can quietly take a toll on a child's confidence and experience in school.

Your child's education is probably one of the most important choices and investments you will make. If you are contemplating a private school, the financial commitment is a huge one — and you will want to avoid any missteps. But it will be almost impossible to avoid some kind of challenge across your child's school years. These are the issues I can help you anticipate and navigate, working with parents to understand what you are seeing, what it means, and how to respond effectively within the school setting.

Parent coaching around school-related concerns can be done one-on-one or in a small group format, and is available both in person and virtually.

Common reasons parents seek educational coaching

  • Choosing the right school for your child
  • Understanding and responding to school feedback
  • Addressing social, behavioral, and academic challenges a child is experiencing in school
  • Strategically navigating situations in which a child may be at risk of being asked to leave — whether due to disciplinary issues or ongoing challenges that strain school expectations or resources
